A 17-year-old girl recognized as Zara’u Buhari, has been r*ped to death in Kimba village in Jega local governement area region of Kebbi State, where hoodlums abducted the victim and took turns to rape her.
According to reviews, the criminals, numbering 4 and reported to be armed with some harmful weapons, kidnapped Zara’u, raped her severally and lastly strangled her to loss of life, to allegedly cover their tracks because she evidently knew them.
The Leadership reported that Zara’u was on her behalf way to her elder sister’s home to keep her company since the sister’s spouse had traveled and remaining the wife alone in the home.
The teenager was thought to have left house around 8pm on her behalf sister’s house to invest the night time when the gang, led by one Aliyu Sarkin Mata, accosted her on the highway.
Talking with a correspondent, the past due girl’s dad, Bello Buhari, a senior staff of Kebbi State Ministry of Financing, expressed his grief stating said the incident found the family because a rude shock that won’t become forgotten in a rush.
He said “When the incident happened, I had not been aware but was later on informed that Zara’u cannot be seen. She often appointments her sister to maintain her organization in the lack of the sister’s husband.
“But my child called to inform me personally that Zara’u is missing, so I left the town and rushed to the village. As a matter of known fact, I arrived Kimba around 10 pm and I met several sympathizers within my home in the village all searching worried.
“We got info that a person who took the lady on a motorbike was spotted at Alelu village, some 2-3 kilometers from Kimba village where my child was kidnapped.
“We also got more information that somebody, probably among the criminals, advised the 1st suspect who kidnapped the lady to permit her to go free of charge since the girl may attended from a decent family members but he refused.
“Her lifeless body was dumped in the bush by the criminals in a bid to hide for the evil deed but fortune ran from the miscreants because they had been arrested by the authorities and detained at the authorities Headquarters in Birnin Kebbi, the continuing state capital.”
The continuing state Commissioner of Police, CP, Kabiru Ibrahim, who confirmed the report, said the village was visited by him to see things for himself and was shocked at what he saw, and assured Buhari’s category of justice, stating that the authorities would do everything to provide the suspects to book and get justice for the deceased.
Relating to him, investigations released by security officers following the case was reported to them resulted in the arrest of the initial suspect who was simply spotted with the victim, while the body of the victim was found out three days after she was murdered.
