Reports that Dr. Oluwatoyin Solarin, a U.S based dentist, has pleaded guilty to defrauding the Georgia Medicaid program of almost $1 million.
Dr. Oluwatoyin Solarin, who experienced offices in Doraville and Duluth, had some workers of her Care Dentist back-date claims for individuals whose Medicaid eligibility got expired, U.S. Lawyer John Horn said.
Also, some statements listed Solarin mainly because the treating dentist about days she had not been in the country. The false statements were submitted from 2009 to 2013, Horn stated. Sentencing is defined for Feb. 3 on costs of conspiring to commit health care fraud.
Solarin used the majority of the $996,862.19 obtained from the scheme to get property in the Atlanta area, Horn said.
Within the plea deal, she’s agreed to repay the amount of money and can forfeit her interest in over twelve real estate properties.
